Often mingling with the crowd Maria express the true definition of the “Aloha Spirit” with humility, appreciation, and kindness. Dwight Kanae

Come and enjoy smooth local stylings of Dwight Kana'e.  Dwight's Ki ho’alu slack key mastery is mesmerizing and sometimes joining Dwight is Bryan’s Tolentino and his magical fingers which brings a mastery of sweet ukulele sound. You're sure to be memorized and pleasantly entertained while enjoying your breakfast, lunch, or brunch. Ray Kalawe

Saturday July 25th

As requested by many of Café Kalawe customers, owner Raymond Kalawe has agreed to take the stage to share his musical talents. When he’s not cooking, running the business, or doing one of his many other behind the scenes responsibilities, he will participate in the musical rotation at Café Kalawe. Raymond has decades of musical experience as he performed with local entertainers.  His musical experience has taken him to many big stages such as the Hawaii Theater, various Waikiki hotels, clubs and dinner cruises around the island. So come and enjoy a variety of genres from traditional Hawaiian to contemporary and oldies but goodies. We’re sure you will not be disappointed with the music, food, atmosphere, and Aloha spirit that can be found at Café Kalawe.

Hoku Zuttermeister

Sunday July 26th

Come and enjoy the Hawaiian sounds of Hoku Zuttermeister. As a seven-time recipient of the Na Hoku Hanohano Award, Hoku brings his traditional Hawaiian music to your morning. Known for his extended knowledge of songs associated with hula, many halau’s all over the world repeatedly invite Hoku to perform for their shows here in Hawaii, Japan, and the continental United States. So feel free to listen to his sweet musical sounds as you enjoy your breakfast, brunch, or lunch, and on many occasions a hula dancer from the crowd will join in his performance. Come have a good meal, listen to good music, appreciate the great service, along with a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Anakala

Saturday August 8th

Please help us to welcome the group Anakala to the Café Kalawe ohana of musicians. They add to the many varieties of music genres that Café Kalawe offers. Their music along with their humor will provide an experience you won’t find at any other Saturday morning family restaurant. Coming from a family with decades of musical experience along with a loving, caring, and humorous ohana Shon Kihewa and Blair Sataraka brings laughter to the stage and also your morning as you dine and enjoy your breakfast, lunch, or brunch. Café Kalawe is excited to share the talents and humor of these two gentlemen with their customers. So come and be a part of a memorable morning that will surely put a smile on your face at the end of your meal.
